The storefront was established in September 2005, but the chocolate dream started long before that. For many years, chocolate treats were made by hand out of a small kitchen in Cutchogue. During many holidays, chocolate was everywhere. Eventually, the family decided it was either the chocolate or them…it was time for Barbara to open her own store. The smell of freshly made chocolate and fudge hits you when you open the door. Walking through the door at B's Treats is like walking back in time. In addition to the chocolate made on the premises, B’s Treats also stocks many hard to find confections. Retro candy fills the racks. When people see the candy from their childhood, they recall many fond memories. B’s Treats is run by owner Barbara Shalvey and her husband Tom. During busy weekends and holidays you may even catch her daughters Beth, Mary and Kim helping make chocolate or waiting on customers to keep up with the demand. One day you may find her grandchildren helping you find your favorite treat at the store. Allergy Warning: B's Treats chocolate is handmade. Our facility makes chocolate that contains peanuts and other nut products. Shipping Information: We ship all orders via UPS unless otherwise requested. Between the months of May - September, chocolate orders must be cold packed. The charge for cold pac is $5.00 in addition to the price of shipping Refunds, Returns and Cancellation Policies: Food items, by law, cannot be returned. Frequently Asked Questions: Q: Do you provide delivery service to the local area? A: Yes, rates vary depending on location. Please call the store for more information. Q: How do you ship products? A: All packages are shipped via UPS. During the months of May-September, due to weather, we must cold pac the chocolate so an additional fee of $5.00 will be added to each order. Q: Do you offer sugar free options? A: Yes, we offer sugar free chocolate in milk and dark options as well sugar free fudge. Our candy bouquets can also be made with sugar free candies. Q: Can you make a special chocolate order? A: Yes, we can make all types of molded chocolates based on the theme of your event. Please give us a call and let us know what you are thinking! Q: I am having a hard time finding a certain kind of candy, can you help me locate it? A: We carry a wide assortment of candies in our store including many that can't be found in other stores. If we do not carry what you are looking for, we can work with our distributors to try and locate it for you. Q: I am planning a party. I have a theme but am not sure where to go with it. Can you help me with ideas? A: Yes, give us a call to discuss your theme and we can take it from there. We can create chocolates, candy wrappers, balloons, bouquets, etc. to go with your theme. We will work with you to make your party the event you imagined it would be. Q: How far will you travel with your Chocolate Fountain? A: We will travel for events in Suffolk and Nassau Counties. Nassau County events will incur a separate fee in addition to the booking price. Q: What kind of apples do you use for your caramel apples? A: We only use granny smith apples when making our caramel and chocolate caramel apples. Q: How much time do you need to complete an order? A: Most orders can be completed and shipped within 48 hours. For larger orders, we may need a few additional days. Fountain bookings should be made as early as possible as we tend to fill up especially for weekend events. Q: Can you customize a candy wrapper with a picture? A: Yes, we can add most any picture or phrase to a wrapper. At our store in Cutchogue, we have samples for you to take a look at. |
